Niemeyer el'Aleph is a story in words and images that set the objectives on the achievement of the Auditorium Ravello through the decomposition of its components. Drawings edited by Gnosis and comments critical of prominent names on the centrality of the work warned return a tribute to a master of contemporary and passionate with a narrative: the story of how an idea, summary and abstract ideas that only they know be, has moved into the reality of a functioning body, complex, articulate, clockwork mechanism that makes live music in the solid gained a yard long, tiring. The volume collects many of the drawings, preparatory sketches, the entire production of technical drawings required for the project to be Niemeyer's architecture 'bystander', true, this, all treated by a group led by transcribers who mediated between Gnosis idea and practice, speech and language, form and rules, in an operation that moved between the severity of the constraints and the passion of the route traced by a master. The pages show the layering process that leads to the apparent simplicity and here is the meaning of the title, which is quell'ALEPH Borges for writing a starting point to which all things are returned and to which all things tend. Oscar Niemeyer's creative universe of the Aleph is the entirety of the project, its final level of accuracy already entirely concentrated in the idea of origin, in that moment where the miraculous vision of the future explodes from a concept to a density loss of detail that article generating range of punctuation differences, priorities and dynamics constructive turn out in architecture experience. Together with a collection of quotations graphic contrast - often tinged with irony or paradox - and photographic paper to complete the network of cultural references and visual which draws an Architect in the maturation of the Idea. After reading, the reflection in the water that emerges is that of a marvelous place in which, as Niemeyer himself recalled, "intuition plays an important role as knowledge."
