Characteristic is the bell tower: in order to obtain the best visual impact and to enter into a
dialectical relationship
with the monument, it seemed appropriate to erect a bell tower morphologically close to the tradition of classic bell structures, with materials characterising the modern language, but in keeping with the “skin” of the rectory-lapidarium.
The bell tower was designed with Prof. Arch. Ing. Marco Dezzi Bardeschi.
A wall covering consisting of a perimeter wall with terracotta sunbreakers with sandblasted surfaces and impasto colours, such as Neapolitan terracotta, was chosen to provide sun protection and good thermal insulation for the building.
