Gnosis Progetti developed the project together with an articulate group of professionals, coordinated by Marco Dezzi Bardeschi, an undisputed master of restoration and conservation.
Continuous dialogue with the contracting commissioning structure, the Soprintendenza, the Curia, the Works Management and the construction companies ensured
careful quality control
that will hopefully shine through in the finished work.
The Rione Terra Cathedral Temple restoration project returns the monument to its history and to the city, in its
dual archaeological and cult function
.
The project, in full respect of the archaeological and Renaissance-Baroque pre-existence, weaves an active eulogy and design of the artefact; it is a conservation project that guarantees the transmission of the entire palimpsest to future use and fruition.
A quality architectural project that, like new writing, fits without violence or erasure, as if between the lines, to
enhance the testimonial and emotional value
of the Duomo Temple.
